I run True Beacon and we're building a client-aligned, transparent, and performance-driven public markets investment firm.
Previously, I've worked in the data driven research group at Point72 across research and engineering. I've also spent time at Vista Equity Partners and Edelweiss in the past. At UC Berkeley, I was fortunate enough to study a combination of Statistics, Computer Science and Economics and was particularly interested in applied statistical learning. I now live in the wonderfully chaotic city of Bangalore and most of my development and formative experiences were in Berkeley and New York.
As long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the decisions that people make with money. As a kid, I'd rummage through the newspaper to find financial terms I didn't understand and pester my parents for explanations. In high school, I came first in the country in a financial examination and got to visit the Bombay Stock Exchange. In college, I built upon my interests by joining the largest student-run investing club on campus. My foray into programming has also led to a keen admiration for tinkering and the endless possibilities it creates. I enjoy writing software and thinking about computing, particularly the new paradigms that will evolve with the latest advances in deep learning.
I'm fortunate to have found an avenue for my curiosity in investment research and am grateful to be in an environment that allows me to express it.
Apart from work, I enjoy reading, playing the acoustic guitar, cooking and listening to indie music. In the past I've dreamt of becoming a cricketer, singer, barista and professor and really want to do a PhD one day.
